Mountain Thunder Lodge sits off Park Ave within walking distance to the Breckenridge Station Gondola and Main St. Just outside of the complex is the Skyway-Skiway Run that allows skiers to ski home at the end of the day (The gondola is closed May - Mid June). A complimentary resort shuttle is also available to take guests to the mountain or anywhere in town.
MOUNTAIN THUNDER RESORT AMENITIES – The elegant yet rustic grand lobby of Mountain Thunder Lodge features a beautifully decorated sitting area that with log accents, slate floors, plush furniture and a fireplace. ONE SKI HILL PLACE RESORT AMENITIES – Being a guest of Mountain Thunder Lodge also gives you access to One Ski Hill Place Resort located at the base of Peak 8. The only reason I'm giving it 4/5 stars was compared to numerous other vacation rental properties I've had, I felt that this one was lacking in "basic" supplies for the house. Specifically, for renting a home for a week and for the cost, I expected a bit more. For kitchen spices and cooking oil there was only salt and pepper. For cleaning supplies, there was sufficient toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags but only 2 dishwasher pods and 2 packages of laundry detergent. There were no cleaning supplies (e.g. all purpose cleaner) beyond a broom and vacuum. I found this strange as you would think the owners would want to provide guests with supplies to keep the home clean and clean up after themselves when cooking etc.
I will note that the property management company did state they only provide an initial supply of sundry items, however I do feel like this was below average from other rentals I've had.
We did contact the property management company upon arrival as there was no wine bottle opener which they were able to deliver the next day.
Overall, it wasn't a big enough deal to pester the property management company with and we just bought extra supplies from the local grocery store. However if every guest is doing the same and leaving unused items behind, I have a feeling the cleaning crew is taking any leftover cleaning supplies and putting them in the locked closets so the next guest needs to go out and buy more spices, cleaning supplies e
